What to take :
The Reserve is a low risk malaria area, please consult your doctor
or pharmacist for advice on anti malarial prophylaxis.
Do not forget your:
- Personal medication
- Sun screen
- Lip balm with sun protection
- Cameras (and film or memory disc)
- Binoculars
- Video camera
- Spare batteries
- Comfortable, sturdy walking shoes or boots for
bush walks.
- Swimming Costume
- Sun Hat
- A good book!
Winter months
(May to September 3°C - 25°C / 37°F - 77°F)
Days are usually mild to warm and nights are cold. Very warm insulated
jackets, scarves, gloves and hats are recommended for night and
early morning drives
Summer months
(October to April 20°C - 45°C / 68°F - 113°F)
Cool cotton clothing preferably in neutral colours and swimwear
are recommended for the daytime, and jeans or trousers for the evening.
During the rainy season (December to March) a light sweater is sometimes
required. The hottest month is normally October (which also offers
some of the best game viewing).
